Yeah, I’ve read that and I believe it. I think until 1943 or 1944 the Americans had more ground units in the Pacific?
Yeah, the US built a ton of ships. For some reason the US never gets to seemingly similar numbers in the game.
Tell us what was your favorite bid ever in an A&A game?
The funnier the better.
The one I know of that I still love was a Gamerman game where (if I recall right) he gave someone a 10 battleship bid! I think they challenger still lost!
Hahahaha….
That was me and soulblighter.
How about 4 artilleries and 2 infantry in China

nice! how did the bbs work out?
I think it was $100 in battleships; not 10 battleships. But it might as well have been 20 battleships for all the good they did.
where did you put them? what did they do?
I am truly curious
I think we put them in 110, 111, 106, 91 and 98. Apart from that the game just kind of went as usual and we lost.
No, what Karl is remembering is Boldfresh vs Jennifer. I think it was 10 battleships - 200 IPC’s. And Jennifer still lost.

Holy Shiiit! How could you lose?
One time I was messing around with the pieces while waiting for my buddy to come and play 1 vs 1 game. I forgot that I had left a stack of French tanks in Algeria and my opponent asked, “What’s that suppossed to be? A bid or de Gaulle’s dream?”
I had a good bid once for China- a tac bomber and another fighter, to be used as part of the Flying Tigers.
