    Thanks.  Feel free to give me your thoughts.  I won’t take the mulligan, though.  We leave for Hawaii on Friday and I’ll be out of commission for a while, so if this gets more out of hand I’m OK with that.

    I know I should have brought my units from Africa for an amphibious assault on Alex. and believe me my decision not to was pure spitefulness.  My dice have been so bad in all my games that I’m seriously rattled, and just playing recklessly now.  Almost as if to say “f*** you” to the dice gods.  I thought I’d bring a skeleton crew into Alex. (surely the dice gods wouldn’t screw me yet again…) and have some options in the M East with my UK fleet and ground units, especially with Japan bearing down on India.  I also meant to vacate India for a counter attack after you took it, but completely forgot to do that in my disgust.

    No worries.  We’ll see what happens.  I need a break from this game for a bit.  These last couple weeks have genuinely aged me, and I want to focus on my other hobby for a while.  I’ll be back after I finish out my current games, take a rest, and recharge my AAA batteries.  :-)

    From what I see you’re basically taking too many risks and spreading your forces thin trying to accomplish everything. For you to be able to defend the Middle East, you have to make sure Italy is done. You didn’t need to amphibious assault, but as I recall you had an infantry and an artillery right next to those planes that you could have taken in with the planes to soak hits.

    If you need a break take a break. When the game starts becoming work it becomes less fun. I’ll go ahead and post Italy, but take your time responding if you need to.

    Hmm, nevermind, you did take the infantry and the artillery. I got nothing. Yeah, I guess amphibious would have been better. The calculator shows that one at 85% over 2000 runs, but honestly I would have expected that one to be more like 95% for the attacker.

    Yeah, oh well.  Like I said, if this wasn’t happening in all my games I wouldn’t be such a baby about it.  But sometimes it feels like the dice gods are telling me to take a break for a while.  :-P
