Has anyone got any good strategies for the 1941 android app playing the 1942 standard edition? The map and setup is very similar to 1942.2 but there are some subtle differences which are proving tricky for the allies - e.g. 4 Chinese territories, East Indies and SE Asia in same zone.

I’ve been working on an android app to support my friends and me while playing. So i proudly present

BattleCalc

The current features are:
Battle simulator: Similar to TripleA, enter the units and see the likelihood of success.
IPC Tracker: Track your conquest and objectives to see your income
IPC Calculator: Plan your next purchase and substract it from your treasury. And then fill the treasury again from the IPC tracker.

Supported games:
WW1 1914
WW2 1940 Europe/Pacafic/Global
WW2 1940 2nd Ed Europe/Pacafic/Global
WW2 1941
WW2 1942 Spring
WW2 1942 2nd Ed
WW2 50th Anniversary

The app is free and available in the Play Store. (Apparently i’m not allowed to post links. Just go to play.google.com and search for Battlecalc. If you see a blue calculator with grey swords you found it)

(Note: The IPC-Tracker currently only supports 1914 and 1940 games. The others are to follow soon�)

Now works on tablets with an Android version (4.0.3 or higher) too.
Also includes a purchase unit calculator now, besides the land and naval battle calculators.
Oh, and the units have icons now :)

Hey everyone,

There’s a new app on the Apple App store called Ambition. It’s worth a look. It’s a fantastic A&A style game with kickass multiplayer. I’m kinda freaking out because it’s what i’ve wanted for like years haha.

Anyway I just wanted the community to know.

Guys as I am now the proud owner of an iPad I wondered if it would be a good idea to share experiences with some apps out there. There are loads of small stuff that are ok but does anyone know of the killer must have app that’s either out there or coming our way.

I am loving songwriters pad at the moment. Also can’t put down TechnoBox

you are correct

our UI uses Swing,

and to be Android / iStuff compatible, someone would need to redo our UI in a different library that is specially made for those platforms.

our code is open source, anyone is welcome to do this
