@Phelan-Kell
Thanks for the great reply! I am hoping to add decals to each as well, so thanks for that tip too. Sounds like I definitely do need to do a bit more homework on this before I get started. I want to do it right!

@Der:
Glad it will help - being a perfectionist I love this stuff!
Yes, I think it was a great find. I definately will keep this in my notes, if I ever have to change a paint job. :-)

Great stuff DK, I love the threads you create.

Nice! This is incredibly useful. Thank you for sharing.

Awesome thread DK. Thanks!
Had you coated your pieces with a protective coat of varnish/enamel spray? Or was it just your paint job?
-
Yes these were coated in clear future floor finish - heavily recommended by pro scale modelers for its easy cleanup and durable finish - it all came off.
But it also took off Krylon oil based spray paint and primer from some other pieces - just let it soak longer. So far I haven’t seen anything it won’t take off.

DK, I had, just this week, started painting, after a year long absence, but wasn’t pleased with the camouflage I had pick for some planes, so I went to my local Walmart, like you suggested.
Man, I got to tell you, that stuff was amazing it took every bit of paint off the pieces, like it was never there.
Thanks so much for my new painting friend. I will never leave the house without it.
Thanks again!
Cheers! :-D

I’ve demonstrated this method in a video on my new youtube channel here:
