I usually use the Aussies to trade islands with the Japaneses, while building mostly navy with the Americans. I’ve seen an Australian navy used very effectively in a couple of cases, anyone have better success with one versus the other? Which is better?
It's April 25th, ANZAC Day

Who knew? Apparently the Turks mounted a pretty stiff defense in WW1 at Gallipoli and ANZAC paid a heavy price.

Gallipoli has entered Aussie mythology in particular as a British disaster that cost thousands of ANZAC lives.
Of course, that is true.
However, sometimes it is forgotten that ANZAC constituted a minor part of allied forces. Gallipoli actually cost approx. 4 times as many British lives as Australian. Let’s remember the dead of all nationalities on this day. Turkey lost as many men as all the allied nations combined.

Gallipoli is also an excellent Mel Gibson movie before Mel Gibson went nutso. Great movie about a terrible operation. I blame Churchill.
