For 3, you can move to any sea zone which is not adjacent to Japanese territory. So you can totally move toward Japan, eg to SZ16 or SZ17. Just remember that if you move to SZ54, you can’t use the naval base there until you are at war with someone.

He thinks China is the real killer for Japan and it can be however I don’t like the idea of using USSR to keep China alive because of how fragile USSR will be against Germany.

I’ve never considered doing both, but I really like how it’s laid out here.  If successful, Italy has effectively been eliminated from the game before they even get going.

Yes there is a G1 gambit but against experienced players who can weather the storm it fails most of the time.  Seen it, but haven’t played it much though, so take that opinion with a grain of salt.

I find my Japans attacking mostly on Japan3. Sometimes on J2. Way I figure is denying India ten bucks is like denying America twenty.

I have seen the axis hit turkey to open up that water strait.  Sometimes the axis feels that it needs to do it. Now that said I have never seen an allied player hit one.

I’ll add a vote for J2, so you can take India on J3.

Yes its one turn early, but its not that huge of a swing, esp if Japan can go up nearly 20 with the UK going down 7 for the US to go up 30.
