OK, you scored one hit in defense, so I lost 1 sub.

I then thought it was very safe to assume that your sub would fight again to prevent surprise strikes from my subs from sinking cruiser/battleship, so I did not submerge it.

My sub missed and my bomber hit, so obviously you lose the cruiser.  Then I got lucky again and you missed in defense.

Now it is one sub and one bomber vs. transport, sub, and damaged battleship.  Does your sub fight or submerge?
