As offensive as the costume may be, it’s actually pretty clever. And well done…
Offensive LOL? Really? ;)
I hope every would-be suicide bomber, or family member of one of these clowns is deeply offended. Better file a human rights complaint!
lol
Sorry to hear that, Garg. Enjoy your days with him.
Morphine pills, bacon burgers, and lots of cuddling.
I’m sorry to hear.
Spend every single moment to the fullest, but I also believe that Mr. Bear had a wonderful time on your side allready.
Ugh, this hit me hard Joel. I am so sorry to hear about Bear. I don’t even want to imagine dealing with this situation, though I know it will come for me someday. My little guy just turned one year old a few days ago and it got me thinking about his life and how much (and relatively little) time I will get to spend with him. Needless to say it upsets me. As does your situation.
That said, I have no experience dealing with what you are. I don’t think I can give you any worthwhile advice. Enjoy every minute. Take a couple days off work. I am not sure how many activities you can do if exercise isn’t really an option.
I did stumble upon this in my musings recently. Perhaps it will give you some things to contemplate. http://www.artofmanliness.com/2014/11/25/a-mans-reflections-on-putting-his-dog-down/
I lost one of my cats in September. I’m still crushed. I’m sorry to hear this.
I don’t have a long, “to do list” for facing the end. Seems to me it’s time to have just one item on it, “Enjoy the day.”
Sorry to hear the news man. It was so cool to see the .org folks come out a while back and support you and Mr Bear. I like to think the care he received extended the good quality life the two of you shared together.
Like frimmel, we lost our cat after 15 great years. It’s hard but it was time for her to go. My only piece of advice to you Garg it to record videos of him on your cell just doing his favorite things. When your flipping through your phone pix and those videos pop up, you be glad you have them. Even some video of him sleeping will bring you joy.
Thanks for keeping us posted and letting us help out in his time of need. Here’s to you Mr Bear.
Thanks for all the support guys.
It’s been pretty incredible to come to this place and know that everyone’s got my back. The best gift I ever received was that extra 18 months with Mr. Bear complication free, and we have had incredible times together, I’ve got lots of photos and videos to share from our trips etc.
Mr. Bear was doing very well until about 48 hours ago, then he took a pretty bad nose dive. His meds have changed and increased since then, and either we see an improvement in next few days… or we won’t and that’s it. :(
At this time it’s impossible to know for certain what will happen next and when… so things are just going to run their course for now.
Thanks again team.
Prayers for you and your pup. :|
I’m really sorry to hear this, Gargantua. I have nothing to offer but a few positive thoughts. I hope that you and Mr Bear are given some more time together, and that your friends and family are there to support you.
You may need to make that tough call and put him down, especially if he’s suffering… I’ve been there and it’s never easy. Good luck G.
10 years ago my dog got pancreatic cancer and I had to put him down. That was a bad time. I think dogs really like the routine of doing the stuff they usually do. Change is scarey but familiar things are comforting. A short walk is still a walk. I took my guy swimming.
Mr. Bear has passed. :(
Thank you for all your support guys.
Sorry to hear that Gar. Rest in peace Bear.
Being somebody thats put down 2 labs and another in the future, I feel for ya.
Ah, … my deep condolences. That’s really tough.
I’m very sorry to hear that. If your heart’s broken at a time like this, it just means it is working right.
Sorry to hear that, Garg.
You’ll see him again bro.
When your up to it Garg, could you re-post that pic of all us on Mt. Suribachi? It always makes me smile……no rush.
Thanks for sharing him with us.
I’m sorry to hear that too.
I had three dogs my self. I feel with you.
