Axis basically lost in the first two turns

Has a few ideas I used for this exact issue. I’ve changed a few things since with the chips colours. It was a bit overwhelming at first.

Though over time I’ve started to buy or make some pieces to replace these chips from hbg. Occasionally they are out of stock on some stuff.  Some we used often and others we didn’t bother with. Torpedo boat destroyers for example were not worth it for us we just switched to destroyers for these at setup. For now….

HBG says you can play with global40 oob pieces. But a few items are nice to have extra.

Found it way cheaper to buy some units from hbg. The pieces from Pacific or Europe 40. Some are sold in a complete bag for a nation uk and usa most likely in stock. And spray paint any extra colours you want. Dutch orange, yellow comunist china and spain to augment the special units in the same colours i bought.

If money isn’t an issue I’d say call or email the folks at HBG and get everything you need there. They know their stuff and can assist you with the pieces and options required. Have had lots of communication with them. They are very good at getting back to you and assisting with your orders!

No free Tech roll. Consult the Tech Chart die rolls.
Unless you mean for the 35,000 page rules for the 36,39 game.

Really ? Why 39 now when u wanted 36.

Take out London navy. You should have 5 subs (7or8) if you attack Canada navy 1st impulse and 3 surface ships if u don’t get diced. Or take Canada navy out 2nd impulse so they can’t build navy there UK T1.
Impulse 1 take UK navy, Reims, Warsaw, activate Hungry, Romania and Finland.
Impulse 2 take UK navy, Paris (no planes), Yugo, Narvik, German Cruiser take out UK tranny in SA, Vichy rolls, activate Bulgeria and land some figs in Romania so you can land them in Italy T2 in Torbuk.
T2 take Holland (collect 18 icp), Denmark and Norway.
This is the kinda normal moves in our games.

This is for the 39 1st Edition map.

Its simultaneous because rocket attacks do the same type of damage as SBR attacks.

Italy can build the Tobruk factory and take Greece. It’s becoming the new standard move for Italy.

However Italy can’t get move their navy now until turn 3 or 4. Even then they usually go into North Africa away from the UK.

I really actually like that the UK can hurt Italy now. However, both Germany and Italy are now too weak with navy. It just puts the game out of balance in Europe now IMO. UK now controls what Germany and Italy does too early.

Of course Japan has lots of extra fun in this scenario.

Siam shouldn’t produce income. They make one infantry per turn and thats it.

For minors, all you have to do is take the capital to take the income.

Two quick clarifications guys. Sorry I don’t have more time these days… working on big projects!

1. I looked as far back as I could and couldn’t find any starting Fallshirms… Build them G1 if you like!

2. For the UK/Canada/S. Africa Commandos Will Bill is correct. Build them in any of these countries, but they all go toward the UK/ Commonwealth total. These countries are typically played as one in my games…

Clarification for Variable :
Germany took Paris G1. This means that Italy joins the axis the beginning of It1 and would automatically be at war.

Italy doesn’t have the option of not going to war with Euro allies (UK & France) It1 if Paris falls right? If Paris falls, or Russia is attacked G1 the Italians join the axis It1 which means a DOW w/UK (and France) is assumed at the beginning of Italy’s turn.

Being that on UK1 Italy is still neutral, UK (and French) ships can pass through Italian occupied sz’s, and even share them if they choose to right. In other words a sz occupied w/neutral Italian ships doesn’t make it hostel, and may be passed through, or shared w/ships from the the allies.

2a) So in my above example the UK could slide a transport into sz40 w/the Italian navy to activate Greece and Yugo at the same time.

2b) On UK1, the English (or Free French) could NCM a dd to sz 41 w/neutral Italian ships, and on the Italians first turn they must join the axis by rule (Paris fell) and because they are at war now (w/UK & France), the allied dd in sz 41 would block the Italian fleet in sz39 from attacking the allies ships in sz42 right.

I have bought this game, and it should be at my door next week (we can’t wait, looks awesome). Started to reply, and ask questions. Didn’t want to infringe on koba’s thread so I started one. Please check it out, I’m looking for some basic info on the game.
