T4 - T9

Germany - Continued to dominate Mediterranean, Pushing a stack of 12Inf, 2Art, Tank and Fighter to within 1 zone on Stalingrad.
Leningrad was held and used a launching point into Russia. Carrier assisted German navy continued to transport 6men/turn up to the icebound Leningrad. Bombing of Russia continued right up until the end, often bombing the undefended give/take factory of Volgagrad (Stalingrad). Even though Vichy, E. France and Paris were in allied hands and Russia was playing a back and forth game with territories, Germany was still collecting 50$/Turn. Things were looking bleak though, with allied armies contiuing to mass in Normandy and Italy under danger of a sneak attack from US forces. Time was running out! Stacking units 30+ deep in Berlin and 15+ in Italy, most of Eastern Europe was empty and vulnerable to Russian and MidEast British Armies.

Russia - Backing into Moscow and letting Germany stay in Leningrad was a gamble, but it paid off. The attacker had an impossible time leaving the city, because when he did I would be able to produce 8 guys there, and have all my allies land their fighters there. He had to keep the front line in my backyard. I prevented him from moving to the central zone by keeping it so he couldn’t land his Luftwaffe there. Without the fighter protection, I had enough firepower to knock him out !! Time was my ally.

United Kingdom - Germany seemed content to keep it’s navy docked outside Leningrad so I was able to use a US T1 Carrier and my fighters to set up shipping lanes into the Bay of Biscay. Landing first in Paris, Vichy and E. France I was able to get about 6$, and by T8 was poised to fight for E. Europe with my Mid-East Forces. I only landed 1 fighter in Russia and that was on T1, other than that Russia received no air support because there was nowhere to land. Scandinavia, Vyborg, Leningrad, Poland and the Baltic States were all under Axis control and most had some 88 Flack Guns. I finally flew 3 fighter from Vichy, over Flack in Italy, and on to Rumania.

United States - The U.S. footed every dollar of the Mid-East oil bill for the entire game. The T1 Carrier and a extra destroyer was enough to (With UK Navy help) stave off any attacks by the German Navy. Landings in France and Vichy meshed well with landings and movements of British Troops. Several mass Fighter purchases helped ensure British Troops in Europe were protected after moving. US and UK bombed the Schnitzel out of Germany, turn after turn until T7 when, heh heh, in one turn German Flack Towers shot down ALL allied bombers. Decimating Morale and giving the German economy a boost. At one point 1 US Inf. and Art. owed all of German North Africa. Germany was stalled.

END GAME -

Germany was well defended but not in a position (Now or in the Future) to advance any further. Allied income was almost 2:1 and Russia was twice as strong as the force in Leningrad. The German Navy was next on the chopping block, cutting off all help to Leningrad (which can only produce 1 German unit per turn). US/UK were putting 70$ / turn into France and nothing was going to stop it. Germany Surrenders T9

Sorry, my misunderstanding. As for the actual amount of pieces your supposed to have, you’ll have to find a place online with the exact amounts.

The info given about the fleet only apply to AAR, not Europe. Subs are immune to AF without a destroyer present. With the presence of destroyers, subs lose first strike, nothing else.

Thought i’d add my tactics for the 1st German attacks in R1. A&A Europe.

Having played this version a lot, i think the African oil $$$ is vital for Germany, and it’s an easy target in 2 rounds. Germany are always fighting Russia for the low IPC borders in the build up arms race, they need that extra $$ as the Usa & Britain will be planning DDay and it’ll be on the way soon enough.

With the 12 IPC’s, buy 2 tanks and place them on Tunisia, buy another trans for the med, this is a quick dash tactic. Spend their remaining IPC’s on troops & art, and all at the start of the 2nd rnd

BB strikes Malta with transport carrying 1troop & 1art, object is to land on Malta, BB will take at least one hit from Fgtr, risky but the BB will probably hit and you have 2 shots at 2 in the landing.

Use the three tanks on Tunisia to blitz the 3 Brit units in Egypt, costly but it will almost eradicate the already weak British presence in Africa. They will be retreating after that.

Use the German Dstyr & sub in s atlantic to take out the Brit dstyr in Gibralter.
Use all the German subs and attack the Brit sea zones, i usually spead them out with the majority on the British BB. Use the bomber and 5 fgtrs too. It may cost 6/7 subs but the Brit navy will be 90% destroyed and will give Germany breathing space.

Attack Russia frugally on R1, smash into E Poland and use the transport to move units from Ger/Denmark too. Use one fighter in an E European attack and land it as near to the med as possible, likewise the bomber heads as south as possible after it’s done it’s work in the channel.

If you use everything possible with overwhelming force numbers on the first round, and throw the right dice, Germany will be in strong position with the oil dollar money on the way.

Germany on 44 IPC’s and above each round enables them to massively build up land units and armour, they need lots of tanks. Forget buying any more naval units for the rest of the game, use the subs to threaten in the atlantic and try to place them all together in a pack.

On R2, use the German BB / fghtr / bomber and destroy Brit E Med navy, landing units in Egypt & Libia with both transports if possible too. Africa will be overrun in R3.

The Usa will usually be paying the oil bill, and 5/6 IPC’s less will affect their buying ability, especially as they start with almost nothing too.

Turn the German BB round in R3 and slip towards the Atlantic, round up the remaining fleet and wait for a gap in the Allied convoys……

Germany need the oil money, that or really good luck on the dice!

i tried something yesterday,
w/ 12 ipcs - 1 sub, bank 4
w/ 44 ipcs - i purchased 8 art, 4 inf.
It’s a nice little stack and the arty turns my inf into supermen. This is a sweet buffer (which hurts to lose).
Anyway, the next turn i purchased armor.
The next turn i had a nasty little force sitting in Poland looking across E. Poland at Russia, smacking its lips :)

well im gonna list all the germans guns i know….(not inculding artillery pieces) …Mauser Karbiner 98,gewher-43,Mp-28,Mp-35,Mp-38,Mp-40,Mp-44,Mg-13,Mg-34 and offcoarse the Mg-42…did i miss anything?
