But when planes move from africa to iraq (or vice versa)do they lose a movement point by “flying over the water” or do they also take the landbridge as the ground units do?</p>

We always play it as Egypt-Iraq = 1 movement, Red Sea-East Med=1 movement and vice verse–so its a kind of crossroads. Panama is wierd too, with the Naval aspect at least. I just drew a short line between the two land territories and made the two seazones separate, to reflect the rules.</p>
