G42 seems to be ready.
Seehttp://tripleadev.1671093.n2.nabble.com/World-War-II-Global-1942-Map-td7583718.html
In this thread you will find the link to the game.xml you need.
It’s called
ww2global42_2nd_edition.xml -
I just get a page full of jumbled letters???
-
Oh, no… this is different from the game downloads you are used to.
Save the ww2global42_2nd_edition.xml to a place you will find it.
Then move to the maps folder where your complete Global map is installed.
In Windows 7 it is C:\Users"User"\triplea\maps
Find the “World War II Global.zip”.In case you cannot browse through zip-files with Windows’ built-in-zip-support
you can open the zip file for example with 7-zip from www.7-zip.org.
You can browse inside the zip as with every file manager now.Inside this zip there is the subfolder “games”.
Move the ww2global42_2nd_edition.xml into the subfolder “games”.
Then start TripleA. You will now find the G42 game.
(As an alternative you can unpack the zip and move the downloaded xml into the games folder.)
HTH :-)
Maybe Veqryn will include this file into the complete Global-package one day.

For those interested: The ww2global42_2nd_edition.xml file has been added to the package in the meantime.
Just redownload the Global Map file as usual - and G42 will be there.
Using the downloader you will not notice a higher version number as there were no other modifications in the other maps.

Thank you Panther. I will look tomorrow.

what about 1914?
-
global 1942 is now included with the global 1940 zip download
1914 is being worked on still, but is probably a long ways off
-
Thanks for putting the G42 on there- got it. Can’t wait to delve into this a bit. Does anyone know if the Mongolian rules with Russia and Japan still apply since everyone is at war???
Can’t wait to play AA1914 online soon- Code it Veqryn ;)
