Hi All
This is our 3rd battle of Long Island and 4th event at the church. We have had between 15 and 26 people. It is in Whitestone Queens NY from 10am till 10pm or so. Lately most are playing Global 40 2nd edition with bid for allies. We have an undefeated team that also has the 1st, 2nd 3rd place finishers from the WBC. We welcome less experienced players. We are starting to do match ups and records if you like. Mostly have Fun and Play hard with other great Axis and Allies People. In the past we played the Anniversary Game, 1914, Spring 42 and the Revised edition lately mostly global 40. Bring a team, join a Team or if your a veteran and play fast you can run an entire board. We have a Fridge, light snacks served, plenty of parking, we ask for 10.00 for the church. Last time we had a guy sell old games, flea market is welcome but it is about playing. If you are on a team you can play in 2 games at once. Save Sat. 23rd for this…!!!
Any questions
Joe
HBG Gaming Convention "Battlecon"

Ok, am I looking at my calendar wrong? The dates you posted are for the WEEKENDS of May 2014, correct? Unless the calendar is wrong on my tablet, those dates don’t coincide with the weekend dates.
-
Sorry for the confusion at the top. Looking like the 'Con will be May 16 - 18, 2014. No competing 'cons that way. Looks like Coach had his calendar set wrong.
-
I can make it on that Sunday, May 18th. What time would the convention open each day and close?

––Maybe we can team up and go. It would probably save me some gas and make it more FUN for the both of us, too. Or at least meet up whenever we get there. Give me a call.

Go, and become a regular at the event…My step daughter graduates around the 14th and thats in Missouri, not too far but my wife she would probably kill me…ya never know until you find out
-
We definitely need to plan for this one! :-)
-
It would be great to have you guys there! Heck, I gotta come from California! No whining from those between the Rockies and the Mississippi River… :-D :-D :-D
-
I talked to Tall Paul on the phone yesterday, and are going to meet each other for the first time Friday. We are going to discuss about when we can meet to play some axis and allies and possibly ride to the convention in May. I can’t wait to meet you guys. I’ve bought a lot of stuff from HBG this month and looking forward to possibly gaming with all of you at the convention. :-D

John,
I’ve bought a lot of stuff from HBG this month and looking forward to possibly gaming with all of you at the convention.
––I feel certain that you’ll be TOTALLY SATISFIED with any/all purchases that you make from HBG. Doug will make sure that you are happy. I, like everyone else that have ever had any dealings with HBG, are loyal “fans” of

Yes, Doug is a good guy. I talked to him on the phone a couple of times. He hurt his Achilles tendon. I hope he recovers from it real soon. Some how my stuff got sent to Maryland, and he reshipped everything. Now I just purchased my biggest order from him last week and bought the Global 1939 variant map. Now, I’m just waiting for the supplement set to restock which he says they may have in a couple of weeks. I should be getting my map tomorrow. I’m so excited about it. I can’t wait to play it. Doug has a lot of cool products. I’ve been pleased with all my stuff, I’ve bought from him. I can’t wait to meet him in person at the convention. :-D

Can I put this quote on our Kickstarter page? :-D

-
Cool! That is good to know. :-D
-
Guys,
He’s the tall one…
––Cool,….sounds like I might look up to him literally as well as figuratively. Actually I’m the shortest in my family approx. 6’-4". My Dad is still 3" or so taller than me,….although he’s a bit stooped over now that he’s 89 years old.
----Variable, I don’t know if you were talking to me about the quote or not but you certainly have my permission,…and best wishes.

Will any pics be posted? I am so disappointed that I couldn’t make it out. I had been planning to go for months, and then my wife and I decided to open up a café. Needless to say, all my free time is used up there. I really hope that it went well enough to do another one next year.
