Hold up a minute. The potential game was not automatically doomed for the CP without rail transport. I can give you a game with the exact same rules, board, everything, and only change the setup, and the CP will have an equal or better chance of winning than that the Allies. Getting an equal chance is hard, but saying that the CP is automatically doomed without your idea strikes me as heavily exaggeratory, and, honestly, less than mature.

Yes, when you give a side an overwhelming advantage, it will win. If it is all about equality, then give each side equal forces. Rails not only make it more equal, it gives more flexibility, making a more enjoyable and historical game.

Kim, sorry.  Obviously I am unfamiliar with the relationship at hand between Larry and Flashman, that in fact there was one.  I was under the impression it was just a humourous faux interview from somebody not closely associated.

Flash, still funny as all hell, but since you are much closer to the game than I had thought it would not be hard to construe your ‘interview’ in a more negative light.

I think that he is a political laxative that gets things moving in the right direction in this game discussion forum. Some sort of strategic rail move is required especially to counteract the two opposite side of board arrival capability and sea movement of the UK.  However, this type of strategic move should favor Germany at expense of Russia and Austro Hungary as both of these nations had major internal problems compared to Germany.  In other words, they screwed up their rail moves in real life constantly and consistently while the Germans starred at it.
