    I assumed you’d lose the aa first in Burma. I didn’t expect the strafe to work so precisely.

    If theoretically, you wanted to save the aa for last, and that’s all you had left after the end of the second round of combat, would that mean that the UK would be forced to take control of Burma? Or would I still have the option to retreat?

    I think I would probably still be able to retreat despite the lack of defense value on the aa gun, though I’ll ask to be sure.

    If that’s correct, and you would have saved it, you can swap the artillery for an aa gun.

    They can both be low luck if you want … though after Japan’s income exceeds America’s it might be game over.

    By the way, are you aware that air and naval bases remain operational so long as they have less than 3 damage? (so no need to fully repair)

    Also, I just got an answer about retreating from just an aa gun in the FAQ. If Japan saves it’s aa gun, you could force the UK to take control of Burma (leaving that whole force sticking out).

    I thought that since aa guns count as casualties they could be retreated from (unlike in OOB where the aa guns are captured), but I was wrong. I didn’t think the OOL would matter, but if you would have saved the aa gun for round 2, you have the option to force the UK to capture Burma rather than retreat (and you can EDIT the map as such if you want … I would still have risked round 2 even having known the pertinent rule).
