Axis and Allies Europe

I’ve been playing A&A for quite awhile now. Has anyone else tried the strategy (while playing the Allies) of having Britian and America buy nothing but bombers, and sending them all to Germany (I’m not talking about heavy bombers, but just plain old bombers). I have tried this numerous times, and by the end of the 3rd round, Germany usually can’t buy anything. Even when Russia falls to Germany, and Japan gets really strong, if UK and US keep buying bombers, Germany and ultimately Japan simply can’t make enough money to buy anything. AA guns have proven to my satisfaction that they are not able to combat this strategy. I am very interested to know if anyone else has tried this.

That is my fault the Germany fleet is built in the Mediterran.

I have recently used this strategy without Russia Restricted and it doesn’t work. Does any body know how I can change it so that it will.

delay your Japan moves by a turn. I.E. J1 purchase your trn and inf, start the japanese push, and then for J2, play it as you might have played J1.
not tried, just seemed logical.

If you’ve played a lot almost any move should be seen before made. Look at some of the other strings under this Axis & Allies heading. This topic has come up once or twice before :roll: .

If I land UK fighters in a Russian territory for example, do they participate in the battle if Germans attack the Russians? Or is only one power allowed in a zone at one time even? thanks in advance :?

What Panther said… so in your example, YES… UK fighters in Russian territory would help defend that territory if attacked along with the Russians… they just can’t fly out and help the Russians on attack… they still move and combat on the UK turn… but allied nations will defend together when attacked.

We played A&A so much in the military that we began to have random games.

such as turning over control markers and rolling a die for each.

the odds fought the evens and so forth - so it could be 4 on 1 or some variations.

Russia vs everybody else - not good.

US and Japan vs the rest.

Please imagine what new Gamemaster Series you had liked to be released by MB/Hasbro. In the 1980s or 1990s. Another WW II game? WW I or WW III?
Medieval warfare with knights and stuff like that?
Or a game set in the future…
