    The soviet evidence is false.

And Eye Witness accounts are weak at best.

What’s your speculation - of what really happend?

  • Hitler died bravely fighting the Russians in Berlin.  He disabled a T34 with his panzerfaust and manned a machine gun until he ran out of ammunition.  He was last seen screaming and firing his pistol as he chased after a retreating squad of Russians when a stray artillery shell landed almost directly on top of the Fuhrer.  Only fragments of his charred body were ever found.

Hitler escaped to his bedroom where he shot himself and got taken to that ditch and burned with petrol. The other Hitlers fled and most of them were caught and shot for bad impersonations.

Dental records confirm it was him.

    Hitler may have escaped <<

This idea has been used as the basis of a number of novels and films, two in the former category being Philippe Van Rjnd’s “The Trial of Adolf Hitler” and Joseph Heywood’s “The Berkut,” and one in the latter category being the legendary Z-grade production “They Saved Hitler’s Brain.”

  • Hitler DID escape the only people who had the evidence was the soviets and though they BSed the sheeple they and Stalin himself didn’t believe Hitler was killed which is funny since they had the “evidence”.

He lied about it to gain political pressure against the western Allies. Stalin knew Hitler war dead, but played it like he didn’t believe it so he can blame them and gain some advantage. Operation Paperclip also was a sore in Stalin’s back and he wanted to claim the western allies were hiding former NAZI’s

They WERE hiding former nazi’s Nasa was full of them braun being the most famous.  Argentina which was originally going to come into the war on the Axis side stayed neutral then “changed” to the allies giving them access to axis territory in europe to bring back axis and nazi’s who hid there for years with the odd one being picked off by the israeli’s.  There was tonnes of reports of nazi survivors having secret facilities over there and reports of hitlers survival.  I heard a story of a guy who was a german global oil executive and when he was at a business party in argentina with a german cartel the guest of honor was hitler (this was in the 50’s or 60’s) and the 2 of them had a quaint conversation.  The guy revealed this after he became terminally ill and just wanted to share before he died.

The CIA and FBI have 100’s of pages of released intel after the war where they report that hitler is alive and where they have roughly tracked him to the agency beliefs are clearly that he still alive.  As for the dental evidence it was sketched since the original records were destroyed and the skull turned out to be a womans skull.

After more reading/research/review.  My gut tells me to agree with IL.

    This was Soviet Spun propoganda.

And unfortunately, at no point was Argentina interested in joining on the side of the Axis! (Though they were sympathetic to their cause)

Spain was a more realistic candidate for that.

The boxed set for the TV series The World at War has several bonus discs, one of which includes a special episode called “The Two Deaths of Adolf Hitler” (or something like that).  It focuses on the post-war investigations into Hitler’s fate by people such as Hugh Trevor-Roper and by the Russians who interviewed Käthe Heusermann, the assistant of Hitler’s dentist Hugo Blaschke.  Trevor-Roper gives the opinion that the Russians kept the western Allies in the dark about Hitler’s fate because they were in the habit of keeping the Anglo-Americans mystified about events in the Soviet sphere of interest.  Stalin was chronically suspicious about the west (and about everyone else, for that matter), so it would have been quite in character for him to want to keep the Allies guessing about this subject.

If you consider the timing too, it would have given Stalin alot of political clout against the allies.

“Oh Those rich guys are protecting Hitler, because he gave them his secrets!”

“Oh those evil capitalists are all on the same side anyways, Resist them or be a slave”

“Oh you better help me stay in power, and protect soviet interests, because look at how bad the Nazi’s are, and Hitler’s still around!”

It’s like Bin Laden.  Sometimes it’s good to have a trump card you can drop and use, constantly, even if it militaryily or otherwise means nothing.

Have you watched the tv show nazi hunters? there was a ton of nazi’s pulled out from that country that had an arrangement with the government.

  • Has anyone read books like rise of the 4th reich and Nazi Inc. they are about what happened to the nazi’s after the war and what they have been up to (they are anti nazi books just to clarify).

Martin bormann is exhibit A for nazi’s that were officially killed that everyone in the know, knows that he survived.

I would like to think much the same way Satan might have. Or perhaps does if you belies the literature.

The last chapter of Joseph Heywood’s novel “The Berkut” offers one speculative answer.

As far as real history goes, Stalin once proposed to Roosevelt and Churchill (when the three were discussing plans for dealing with post-war Germany) that Germany’s top 50,000 or so leaders be rounded up and summarily executed.  Roosevelt, who thought Stalin was joking, responded that executing 49,000 might suffice. Stalin wasn’t joking, however, and it took some persuasion to get him to agree to putting the Third Reich’s top leadership on trial at Nuremberg.

What do you think the rank of the 50,000th lowest person on that list would have been?

That’s a really interesting fact … reminds me of Roman or Byzantine reprisals.

I guess the answer depends on whether Stalin was talking about the civilian government leadership alone, the military leadership alone, or a combination of both.

Or how bloody annoyed he would have been to have given in to his wife’s nagging:" you deserve that job. We could have a bigger house, a new dress…"

The Nazi party had S/N’s for it’s membership.

    60 in the 1920’s to 8.5million by 1945.

You could easily just pick the 50,000 first members, that were still living, and execute them.

    There were detailed files…

  • Hitler’s party number was 555.  The number of the BEAST!

I have a vague recollection that his party number was actually 7, but I could be wrong.  At the time he joined it, the party didn’t even have its full NSDAP name and it was just a tiny micro-group.  554 members ahead of Hitler sounds way too high.

    @Vance:

Hitler’s party number was 555.  The number of the BEAST!

The number of the beast is 666. Or 616, according to some.

    From the Book of Revelation:

I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. 13:12 He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. 13:13 He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people. 13:14 He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived. 13:15 It was given to him to give breath to it, to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn’t worship the image of the beast to be killed. 13:16 He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands, or on their foreheads; 13:17 and that no one would be able to buy or to sell, unless he has that mark, the name of the beast or the number of his name. 13:18 Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.
