• @Cow:

If there is a will, there is a way. :)

Not if a bomber doesn’t want the transport to get its way.

  • Obviously he’d bring some escort.
The Indian fleet will do nicely.

  • TripleA

yeah or have a couple mech maybe a tank with it as well moving toward the spots without a pickup.

I am glad, to see more players doing this russia income thing. Russians aren’t rolling over and dieing to germany as fast now. :)

  • If Germany goes hard and fast against USSR on G1, I don’t know if they have the time or the units to spare to gallivanting off into the middle east.

  • Liaison TripleA '11 '10

The units pay for themselves, and if Germany faces any kind of a STALL, the IPC you’ll collect, will give you the edge you need :)

  • TripleA

I been playing allies @ 6-9 bid or against allies with that bid amount. They do the russian income trick a bit easier. russia still gets owned, but it isn’t as bad as before where germany walks out with 19 tanks and then waltz right into egypt.

Still I’d rather russia lost that exploit NO and got to start with a bomber and a couple more inf and USA starting with 1 more bomber as well.

might not need a bid anymore. plus russia is kind of boring sometimes. the bomber makes it seem cooler. hopefully the starting units gets a boost and that NO modified.

  • this is backtracking in the thread a bit but…

in regards to russia taking sicily and the like:

my understanding is that if the SZ was friendly (no axis surface warships), then the italians could NOT scramble unless the amphib was targeted at the AIRBASE tt, in this case Rome.  No combat in the SZ and no amphib at the AB tt = no italian scramble

tho an OFFICIAL ruling would be nice…

and a lone italian sub would stop it, even with other allied surface presence?

  • Fighters in Rome can scramble into SZ 95 even if only Sicily - or any other territory - is being invaded.
Scrambling can force combat in any neighboring sea zone where combat is possible.
As another example, fighters in gibraltar can scramble against an invasion on Morocco.  Same deal.

Also, yes, a single enemy submarine would stop a transport-only amphibious assault as well.

it is good siciliy and that other island is too overpowering lol
