There is a modded map with ww2 era units that is fun to play.
Has alot of nations as well.
Ill link it. Thinks its world in flames or somthing along that lines. Really fun though i have no one to play with, so i just invade the other nations.
You start off with units and a few factories, oil drills and defenses.
Also has a nice year counter that opens up new unit production. Think there are a few super weapons (germany has V2 installation. Cant recall the others. Check it out and maby we can play some time.
Axis & Allies Napoleon?
-
Has anyone ever thought of making an Axis & Allies style game but in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars? It couldn’t be called A&A ovboiusly, but alot of the units could be modified to fit the era:
Navy:
Battleship to Ship of the Line, Cruiser to Frigate, Destroyer to Sloop of War (or Sixth-rate), and Sub to Privateer, Transport stays
Military
Infantry stays, Artillery to Light (hit on 2) and Heavy (hit on 3) Cannon, Tank to Heavy Cavalry, Mech. to Light Cavalry (hit on 2 tho)Instead of having air units there could be coastal fortifications which can return fire to naval bombardment.
The Powers could be as follows:
England, France, Spain, Prussia, Russia, America
-
I don’t think America was an important power in the early 19th century.

Have you tried Napoleonic Empires, for TripleA?
It uses Axis and Allies “Revised” rules, but with a different board, different units, and a very 1800s feel to it.

Try Napoleon in Europe by Eagle Games. Great game.

There wa an idea along these lines discussed earlier here:
-
I think if a Revolutionary Wars/Napoleonic Wars map was to be made it would play better as a free for all as the constantly shifting alliances of the real wars would be a bit confusing to put into a set team game. Powers would be France, Great Britain, Austria, Russia, Prussia, Spain, Sweden, Denmark-Norway, Ottoman Empire and Persia. Maybe the Confederation of the Rhine and the Papal States.

I agree with Jim Napoleon in Europe is a good bet. I do think a strict axis and allies component system in a Napoleon era would be awesome.
