ESPN did a poll a while back. “Which Olympic event do you watch most”. Ice Hockey was #1. I forget which was #2. Figure Skating maybe?
I thought this was a global poll.
Now I understand.
In her daily blog on the dailykos.com , she complained about a little wind and rain interrupting her coverage.
Some posters complain and are shot down. She and her friends get freespeech, but dissent is not allowed? Isn’t that what some of Cindy’s complaints are about?
Yea, I remember those days too. The best game out there was a text based Star Trek game called Space Wars because of possible copyright infringement. It took about one minute to make a single move or fire a torpeedo. If you warped into a sector with more than two Klingon ships, you’d better use phasers and knock them out in a single salvo or you may not get a second chance.
We had that game on our high school PDP-8 computer. The key was to do a scan of the entire universe so you knew where the klingon’s were. We had a grid made the represented that universive size, and could determine the number of units to warp to each occupied space. Also used photon torpedos to pick off individual klingon ships instead of phasers that used lots of power.
I believe we did clear the galaxy once, but it was a lot of work to do so!
I have a network adapter for local play and a modem for internet play. When I host a game with tcpip, it uses the address from the network adapter and I need it to use the address from my modem connection. I have removed tcpip from the network adapter, removed and reinstalled the game with no luck. Any idea’s where it’s getting the ip address or how to make it use the address I want? Thanks.
Thanks, Doc. I really appreciate it.
I think my grandfather is ready for the last chapter - that’s why we haven’t tried anything very rigorous. Have read about dopamine supplementation, but the effects are very limited and acute.
My grandmother is doing well and much better each day, even with some recent complications. But I still think that they should put the nursery adjacent to the rehab center - it would do wonders.
Anyone else have their own experience?
