Battlegrounds has stated on their website that they are working on a wargamer-specific tabletop version of their software.  Id be curious to know how that is comiong  along…

That being said VASSAL has been around for a while and lots of games have been ported to it so I know its pretty solid.

Is it just me or does it bother anybody else that the Expanded Rules cover is not stapled to the actual book? And on the back cover they included Greece as an ally but not Hungary as an Axis. Also the sign for Poland is not the same as that of the one on the Stat Card. Its the little things that drive me nuts!

MechanizedWarfare the russians didnt have an operational halftrack until after the war(Even then it was a US M3 halftrack). There was one experimental Halftrack the BA-30, but it was never adopted for mass production or service.

Yea I know, I was hoping they would let the Ruskies use the US M3 halftrack as a Russian unit.

Paratroopers, Armoured/Scout Cars, even Heavy Tanks firing AI at it all work well.  I’ve found the best units are the bikes and polish cavalry.

The trick is not to let the Bofors get it’s points worth or more, so don’t expose units unnecessarily to it.

I can only hope and wonder what will be included in the new booster. A couple friends of mine and i were wondering what the planes will look like and we came to the conclusion that they might go the same route as “hero clix” and have the clear base. Also, do u think that they will include german motorcycles? sidecars? They have already released a ton of german units, but will they cut back? -PEACE

The Polish Calvalryman is a nice touch to the game.  Thay will be easy to use in groups of 3 or 4 against soldiers.  Im thinking the best way to use them will be to hide and rush machine gun nests.

Not just machine gun nests but also for going after BAR Gunners, anti-tank guns, and commanders. But I really don’t think you need more than 1 or 2 to accomplish this. It is very easy for the cavalry out of line of sight.
