I use OOB rules.
I bought this game in November and play one on one against my usual A&A opponent.
We’ve played seven games so far and the axis have won four…allies three. So we think it’s pretty balanced…the only thing we don’t like is the starting IPC’s for Italy. You can’t buy sh*t with that and they lose half of their starting fleet before it’s their turn.
But since the axis have won four out of seven it hasn’t really affected the overall outcome.

I don’t speak german, could you give us an english summary?

Sure, just give me some time and I will try my best.
In fact that a lot of German A&A players use this forum, I thought it might be interesting for them. But if you are also interested in my opinion I will glady translate it. :-)

sieht so aus, als wärst du absolut begeistert vom spiel. höchste töne etc. ;) gehe ich mit, wenn ich vielleicht auch nicht so euphorisch bin. :D
@ drmckool: it is mostly a description of the game, apearing to be made for beginners. he is quite stoked of this game, so it seems.

@rocknroll: Dem habe ich nichts hinzuzufügen ;-)
Yes, it is a review for beginners, like me. And yes, I am really stoked of Axis and Allies. But I think that’s the great thing about this game, it is able to stoke you. This is what makes a board game special and there are not many games which got that ability.
