Marines attack for 3 when they are part of an amphib. assualt. Destroyers are immune to surprise attacks by subs and they can attack air units.

i also like the original A&A

A&A pieces are still the same shape and colour.
A&AE & A&AP were made different for more realism and to help keep the pieces separate if you dropped both boxes at the same time. :P

I was at a local gaming convention. This guy had a large, 6x3, Axis and Allies board. He said it was home made, but wouldn’t tell me how to make it unless I went to another convention a few months later, much farther away. I couldn’t go to that convention for various reasons, so I never found out. This board looked just like the one that comes with Axis and Allies. Does anyone know how to make one? Is there a site I can go to with instructions? I thank you all for any help that is given!

Thanks for the info! Yeah I also suspected maybe the download link went bust after .mac turned into a pay site. I like your thinking with your awesome offer to host the existing alpha version again though. Hmm, I wonder why the author didn’t just go oh cool… here ya go. Well hopefully someone that snagged that alpha download will peek in here yet… hopefully. If you have the ability and desire to host… we really need to get you a copy of that file somehow! The website states the Mac version sports over 75 different units… 75! Yes, this I have to see and play. Anyway, I really appreciate your follow-up. Save it manually? LOL Yes, that’d be a bit tedious.

Unfortunately, I’m still stuck with the same problem, and re-installing the game hasn’t helped any. Does the A&A folder have a seperate sub-folder for saved games?
