The Germany and Japan playbooks that are stickied to the top of this G40 strategy page are amazing.  You will get a solid start as Axis if you follow those plans for the first couple of rounds.  Nothing beats experience as each game becomes different based on initial die rolls.  The top guys on the League play can beat the middle guys 90+% of the time.

Would be better just to learn the game yourself first before copying someone else his strategy.
sure those are good starting moves but you dont learn a lot from just copying from someone else, its like making a digital copy of a photo to learn to make good photo’s

Im not claiming to be a verry good player and i have eventualy also used those strategies but they force every player into the exact same style of play.

Just play a few games and you learn pretty quicky what to look out for and what not.

Advanced Arty would help as well.  However, I don’t think Russia can afford to start rolling TECH unless you use the AA50 token house rule.

I second that.  1942 is the best way to train new players.

I know you want to break out Global but you might scare them away!

If you use that funky little 1942 board then you had better anchor it down or one little bump and what a mess.

I bought it at coolstuffinc, 60$ each. In the malls they are like rip off 100$ ea
So I think Coolstuffinc is the best. unless used.

Buy it new and go through the awesome pleasure of popping the cardboard popouts for an hour! :mrgreen:

From what I remember doing

G1: carrier (save 14 IPC, collect 51 (france, Yugo,fin) + 17 french = 81)
G2: 20 mech

USSR 1: 1 ftr, 4 art, 5 inf
USSR 2: 5 art 7 inf

UK1 EU: 6 inf 1 ftr
UK2 EU: Depends, mIC in egupt/ Carrier in europe/ 2 infs and trannie in s Africa / start building ftrs

UK1 P: All inf
UK2 P: mostly inf, if at peace. If at war, some fleet/ftrs and some land

Anzac1: 3 inf
anzac2: start builign ftrs while making some landunits

USA1: if a peace: 9 subs, if at war: 2 carriers, 1 sub and 2 DD for japan
USA2: 2 carriers for europe, 2 carriers 2 subs for japan

it1: either ftr or 1 mech, 1 tank for easter front.
it2: 1 mech + ftr + ??? Depends on money
