I always liked this wall of text by Bunnies. It gives an overview of the first turns for both sides in a KGF kind of game. Perhaps you will find it useful.

Varn, you’re turning into a guru/master.  I’ve followed your games with Flip, you remind me of the borg with your ability to adapt, well done.  Hopefully once the drywall dust and paint settles from the home renovation and the insurance company has their fill with sending me to be poked and prodded by doctors I will get on tripleA and face your wrath!  Merry Christmas!

My foe was not aware of this rule.  Since my 4 fighters scored 3 hits along with my 9 attacking bombers 3 hits against all 6 of his fighters scoring hits I might suggest we redo that round!  Thanks Krieg!

Assuming that the war doesn’t have to end in summer of '45 (but probably somewhere near there), what do you guys think is an accurate timeframe regarding a full round?

Six months seems like an easy guess, but I haven’t really played enough games to get a good sample to draw from.

If we’re talking Spring 42, then 2 (possibly 3) turns is approximately 1 year? So if the game is still going after Round 12 its Spring 1948 and the world is drastically reshaped from a conflict twice as devastating as WW2.

Yes I have previously played risk. I thought it was too much of a game of luck so I tried this one.

A&A is also a mixture of skill and luck, although you can use a Low Luck system that greatly diminishes the random factor built into it.
