• Djensen,

Can you tell us what Imrpoved Mech Infantry is all about in the Ind research chart?

    thanks

  • gust a guess i assume it’s an increased attack(+1) seince they did carry L/H mechine guns

  • It is some combonation of the following
    a) Can blitz without tanks
    b) Attack becomes ‘2’
    c) Can carry infantry at 1:1

  • Another question, what’s up with the Dutch in the global game? And what happens to the French colonies after France has been completely conquered?

  • And what happens to the French colonies after France has been completely conquered?

Once Paris falls, can USA and UK take over French colonies to gain their income, or is the money wasted on France who can’t build without a capital?

  • maybe france should be able to deploy infantry like china except they can move any where possible I.E. not through water to us, uk or canada with out a trannsport

  • It has been told to me by Krieg that you can not take over French colonies like Dutch ones

  • Dutch colony territories act as Pro-Allied neutrals in that they can be occupied and taken control of during non-Combat Move, except that they are limited to being controlled by the UK (US troops cannot take control of Dutch territories).  This doesn’t play much of a role on the Europe side as the only territory is Suriname which is worthless, but it has already been covered in Pacific 1940.  Honestly I’m a little surprised they didn’t make a similar rule for Brazil in that only the US can occupy and control Brazil.

French territories will act just like territories of other powers when their capital has been taken: allied occupying forces do not take control and do not collect IPCs unless they recapture it from enemy control while the capital is still in enemy hands.  This means that in order for the Allies to gain control of these territories and earn IPCs from them they would have to let Italy, Japan, or Germany capture them first, then recapture them from the Axis power.  Otherwise they remain French territories and no one gets the IPCs until Paris is liberated.

That’s ridiculous.  Exactly why there needs to be a “Vichy” rule for powers with fallen capitals.

Don’t you think this game is complicated enough. It doesn’t matter that much.

The Allies had hard battles to take over Vichy territories like Madagascar and Syria. If we’re going to have complicated rules on small neutrals, then the disposition of large colonies held by player nations is critical.
