For a neutral Italy rule (which would then allow AH a mine free move) putting UK SZ19 forces at risk, one of the following 3 should be done…
change UK setup to move 1 CA from SZ29 to SZ19; move UK CA/TR from SZ19 to SZ28; create new SZ31 by splitting SZ17 in half at a point on border between SZ16 and SZ17 below Sicily and extending to point where Albania borders Greece.Modified turn sequence?

I was just wondering if anyone out there has ever experimented with having just an Allied turn and an Axis turn, instead of each country having its own. It would certainly get you a different game, but for better or worse I couldn’t say. It would make things like D-Day and reinforcing the Afrika Korps simpler. But would it unbalance the game in favor of one side or the other? Of course, you’d also introduce the boredom factor, because you’d have to sit around longer waiting for the other player to finish his turn before you become the active player again.

This is what we use in AARHE since 2004-5. It is called the “all axis ,all allied turn sequence”
It cuts out 30-35% downtime

So it works pretty well then? Sweet. I’ll try it.

IN AAR on the first turn Russia plays first then axis/ allies ( including Russia)
After first turn its axis then allies. You may have to have Russia go first depending on the game your playing
