• I got my bombers and strip.

I never mailed anything in, just created a case with WOTC on their website. Although I did create it before their announcement.

Of the 6 tacticals I received, 3 were damaged. Only 1 had instantly obvious visible scarring, but none of were broken or unplayable. In truth, I only wanted 2 more bombers anyway, so I’m happy on that front.

The battleboard was severely damaged. It was filled with pockmarks from bomber pressure points. The center has a vertical slice right through it and the entire board is warped as if someone dipped it in water and let it dry on the pavement. In my opinion, this component is unplayable. BUT, I dont care about the battleboard. Never did since I’ve never used them. It just seems inconvenient to transfer all the pieces to somewhere on a table that is highly constricted for space already. And even if I did want a batteboard, Bob has given us a superior solution anyway.

Now one thing I did want (and I requested this originally) was a pair of Japan and ANZAC setup stickers to overlay onto the incorrect ones. I expect these corrected stickers must exist anyway for the reprint.

I’d still like more Japanese mech inf and a new rulebook, but that’s picking nits I suppose. Overall, I’m happy.

  • Mailed the (belgian WOtc) February 10 - found a new battlestrip and 6 Japanese Tac Bombers today in the mail.

    😄 😄 😄 😄

  • I just got mine too! And all 6 tactical bombers were in perfect condition! 😄 The battle strip was bent, but who cares about that?

I asked about corrected ANZAC and US stickers too but honestly I feel the stuff people on this forum came up with is far superior.

Wow, pretty quick here too. I emailed them on 2-10-10 and mine were in the mailbox this past Thursday 2-18-10, about 1 week!

The battle strip was a little “bendy”, but the planes were in perfect condition. Great job to the AAP40 support staff.

My letter said that there was supposed to be 9 Japanese TAC bombers included in the game originally, and they sent me 6 more for having to have had to wait.

  • extra tactical and battle strip have been received! Thank you Wizards for listening to the players!

I can’t wait for Europe to comes out. But I need to find more friends to play the game!

Bought 2 sets of the game is my guess.

  • I received my replacement Board and Tactical Bombers today (I didn’t have to mail in my old one, as I opened my claim long before the announcement). I was a bit disappointed to see that two of the bombers had damaged wings, and there were some dents in the board itself (from aircraft imprints), but at least WoTC came through for the community and provided the replacements at all.

  • Just amazed they didn’t think of sending it in a box, I always assume worst case scenario when I do things, I guess they don’t.

  • Anyone Know the email address that I can Use to Get These Tac Bombers/Battlestrip

I don’t know the e-mail address off hand but the number to reach them is on the back of the instruction manual.

  • Thx

  • Well, I received my tac bombers and battle strip today. I guess took a bit longer to send to Toronto, Canada.

Envelope was big enough that pieces were undamaged and battlestrip unbent. Too bad I already printed out a superior battleboard from this site.

  • Customizer

i sent my battlestrip off today
we’ll see if i get anything

  • I got my battlestrip after about a month.  It was slightly damaged from the tac bombers being shipped in the same package without any bubblewrap.  All that being said I HAD TO PAY POSTAGE DUE as they did not pay enough postage on my shipment.  Serious WTF.  It wasn’t enoungh to have me buy an incomplete game wiyh poor quality contol, making me nit have the proper equipment to run a game at a local college con(UBCON XXI). Newbees tend to need a battlestrip/battleboard.  The players said they enjoyed the game and wanted to buy a copy until I relayed the price tag.
Has anyone else had to pay postage due?

  • Mine came in a box! Perfect contents, postage paid.

Who do you guys know to get the premium packaging???

  • TripleA

mine came in an envelope, battlestip was a bit dented, 14 tacs sent in total, 12 in perfect condition, 1 lost a wheel, 1 had a small white stress mark on the wing. funny thing is i now have 20 tacs and they annoy me because they take up too much room in the piece compartment in the box.

i live in canada and they did not charge me shipping.

Just send a couple extra to me. I have space. I’ll even pay for shipping.  8-)

  • I got my pieces a month ago and they came in a huge envelope with bubble wrap.  The pieces were all fine and the battlestrip was perfect. All postage was paid
