    Just compare.

I’ve compared.  They are different poses (The unit with the pistol, which is the one Variable said is “near exact”).

As for the rest of it they are all wearing Italian WW2 gear, so really there can’t be that much variation and there are only so many viable poses for units of this size.

Yes yes, ok, I don’t know why people keep mshowing the rifles poses.  I already agreed on that.  The pistols yes is similar.  Anda gain, HOW MANY VIABLE POSES COULD THERE BE, Really?  There are bound to be pieces out there (as also mentioned already, in different scale) that are similar or identical.

In any case, I’m not going to argue it.  It’s a done deal, the pieces look fantastic (especially up close and personal) and we move on from here.

I fully agree that FMGs stuff looks great and I will buy everything they make. They have gone to all the trouble of making a perfect size, perfect color, perfect matching item for A&A. I was just showing my support of someone else’s observation. We just found it amusing is all.

  • They probably used the same company or sculptor.

  • '10

Our sculptor could have used those or something similar as a model when they were making these.  Notice however that they are different.  Those figures have a “leg up” and our sculpts have both feet firmly on the ground.

Many different pictures / models were used for examples, and the sculptor could have taken inspiration from any of these (possible).  They were however individually sculpted as you can see from the original sculpt pictures.

WOW!  Those airplanes look fantastic!!!  Now that’s the kind of quality that I was expecting from FMG.  After seeing the sample of the Enterprise I was beginning to wonder.  My concerns have been erased.  Job well done!

I completely agree, Black Fox. FMG - these are brilliant and perfect, thank you.

  • '12

    Freakin’ BEAUTIFUL!!!

  • The Avenger is sweet!

  • FMG, I see a lot of destroyed Axis aircraft, tanks and ships in the future on AA game boards with your new USA aircraft.  IJN look out here comes the USN Avenger torpedo bombers.  Your detail is superb.  Cheers

It seems I was WAY to optimistic and excited about these products.  They have taken much longer and cost much more than expected.  In future, I will just surprise everyone instead of giving any “release estimates”

    My apologies.

  • Since No one else will say it……

So we are looking at 2020 before all countries are complete?

    Sorry, had to be said.

is there a plan for additional chinese pieces? like chinese artillery and the like? that would be great, just something in that pale green to use.

I believe FMG has plans for making Chinese units, but they will be a little while yet.  Also, they are planning a “commons” set which will include Industrial Complexes (major and minor), Air Bases, Naval Bases, AA Guns, Bunkers, etc.  Not so sure about hospitals.  Here is the latest order of national pieces to be put out by FMG (Jeremy correct me if I’m wrong):
    Italy
    Germany
    United States
    United Kingdom
    ANZAC
    Soviet Union
    France
    Japan
    Commons Set
    China & Neutrals (possibly)
ALso, HBG is also planning on making some Chinese Units but I’m not sure when.  At present, the listing for HBG’s sets are:
    Axis Minors
    US Marines
US Supplemlement set (alternate planes, alternate battleship class, escort carriers, light tanks, tank destroyers, etc. – basically stuff that isn’t in the OOB or FMG US sets)
    Dutch, Polish and Neutrals
After this I’m not sure what coachofmany plans to make.  I know there are plans for a further German supplement set and he has taken polls for Nationalist Chinese and Communist Chinese sets, but I don’t think anything is set in stone yet.

HBG and FMG have made a gentlemens agreement to divide up some of the sets.  So we do not overlap and have to compete with each other.  We will carry eachothers product on the various sites also.

    FMG will be doing:
    Italy
Germany (Two sets, Grey / Black)
    United States
    United Kingdom
    ANZAC
    CANADA
    Japan
    Soviet Union
    France

    Commons Set (Bases etc)

HBG has told me they are interested in doing the Neutrals and China, so I am happy to tell you these will be available in the future.  HBG is also licensed to sell COMBAT UNITS individually, as they currently do with OOB sets.

Yeah, I made the same pre-order that you did and am anxiously awaiting my new combat units and combat dice.  You just have to be patient a little longer.  Jeremy said that the factory told him production would be finished roughly end of the month.  When you take in the time to ship from China to FMG, then from FMG to all of us, count approximately another two weeks or so.  With any luck, we should all be very happy about mid-August.

Also, that comment "i can think that my bucks are lost?" is downright insulting.  Even if this project totally fell through, do you really think that FMG would simply keep our money?  Don’t you think that FMG would refund us on our orders?  FMG is an honorable company with excellent customer service.  What’s more, all the delays and failed deadlines are solely the fault of the Chinese factory they have to deal with.  The factory tells Jeremy one thing, then Jeremy clues us all in and when it doesn’t happen, everyone want’s to yell at Jeremy and FMG.  We all just need to chill out.  We all knew going into this that the Italians were going to be the hardest set because it was all new, to FMG, the sculptor, and the factory.  Just try to think about when the Italians are done.  Next will be the Germans which are already moving much faster.  After that the Americans.  The sets will start coming out like clockwork.
