@CWO:
I was going to say swamp gas, but lens glare sounds more probable. Or lens flare, if this is another outer-space picture shot by J.J. Abrams.
HA! Most probable!
Deal!! You get Montreal. :-D
and I think you mean St Catherine’s street. To quote star wars “you will never find a more wicked hive of scum and villainy.”
That’s it. How appropriate, St. Catherine’s, the patron saint of titty bars!! I forgot the name, it was many, many years ago.
@JWW:
the patron saint of titty bars!!
One of these establishments is located smack across the street from the Eaton Centre, a big retail mall complex the size of a city block situated right downtown, on the part of Ste Catherine street which constitutes one of the area’s most popular shopping areas. It has a huge outdoor sign, too, so it’s hard to miss, but the locals – who are pretty casual about that sort of thing – hardly seem to notice it. I sometimes wonder how the tourists exiting the Eaton Centre react when they see it.
Well, I don’t know. Some of the suburban areas in Longueil (on the South Shore of the island on Monteeal) and Laval (north of the island) are pretty sleazy too, to say nothing of the industrial neighborhood around the western end of St Jacques street. Lots of motels that rent rooms on an hourly basis, for example – establishments which you most definitely don’t find downtown on Ste Catherine street, which is on the whole a very family-friendly area.
Canada got stuck with Montreal. No wonder they want something else :roll:
The plan should be to give Canada back to Mexico, US takes England.

You forgot it probably because you were drunk.
could be……

When was Canada part of Mexico?
Well, the Spanish did settle British Columbia first.
Consider this a note of protest. I would like the isle of Montreal to stay right where it is, thanks.
Yrs.,
R.
What would you call the area south of the thruway? North Appalachianville.
Being in upstate New York, I think they should cut off NYC and call it its own state.
I liked it better 30 years ago when it was much easier to go back and forth to Canada but then I lived 8 miles from the border
Yes form a new country and call it Noreasters

All right, but only if you leave out the Irish.
Well, the Spanish did settle British Columbia first.
Well technically Siberians were the first……
As far as Canada being stuck with Montreal, Canada pretty much was Montreal, a few fur trappers and voyageurs and of course… victorious British soldiers.
Ironically the first people to commit genocide in North America, were the Indians.
Back to the OP, I support an independent New England!
Alright JWW we will take Western Mass too, including everything West of I95. We get the West bound lanes of I90 and the South bound lanes of I95. We will also take Boston, but only if you take the island of Montreal.
Yes!! I’m 20 miles west of I95.
For the love of god, as a resident of Massachusetts, let me implore you to leave Boston. I understand the whole Montreal thing, but it isn’t worth it, trust me. Canada should just kick Montreal and Quebec out and let them form their own country like they’ve been screaming about for the last 40 years……
NOOOOOOOOO!!! Take Michigan instead, we desperately need some new leadership here in metro Detroit
Alaska back to Russia

Even though I usually support Texan Independance I’m glad to see that my northern friends are also fervorous about their freedom!

Hardcore Pawn would presumably be in charge of the state. That show gives Detroit class!
or, ya’know, just bring back kwame kilpatrick. i don’t get why everyone hated the guy… :-D
