    @John:

    @Tall:

    John,

    ––My brother is waiting until Monday before he’ll know if he and my Dad will come over next Thursday for us to have a 4-person global game. My brother flies hot-air balloons and this is the start of his busy season.
    ----Even if they don’t make it over,…would you want to come down and play a 1940-Europe or Pacific game? Let me know.

    Tall Paul

    LOL, you remember, I told you regardless, I would come, even if they couldn’t.

    If you don’t mind, I would like to play or study the Europe side, because there are a lot of things that I need to know on that map.

    I will bring mine.

    It won’t take too long to setup.

    I really need to see that side of things before we play a global game.

    I will plan on being there at 9:00 AM. :-D

    John,….I will be expecting you Thursday a.m. whenever you can arrive. Europe it is.

  • Checked out the selection, very very nice. One thing that I’ve done is on the bottom of my battleships I’ve painted the flags/symbols etc. of the power. It looks cool when they are tipped over. Just a thought.
    The detail is realy good, and I like how you’ve changed the skin tone and faces of each. My fave is the US flags on the backs o f the tanks. I also liked the brick chimeneys you did on the factories.
    I am inspired to take my painting to the next level.
    Thanks,

    ––Thanks, comments are always appreciated as they give me some “feedback” as to what I’m doing is working out

    ––That’s a good idea,…but I prefer a more obvious location of the national ensigns on the stern decks of all ships (like the Tanks). I had “Allworkandnoclay” remove the depth charge racks on the APD’s he’s now working on so we could place the flag here. The first ship is now “in process” and you should soon see the results on the U.S. Navy "Green Dragon APD fast transports VERY SOON!

    ––It’s funny,…but I also thought the best feature of all of the factories were the brick chimney work.
    I am inspired to take my painting to the next level.
    ––Then I can say that I have accomplished one of my major goals,…
    to INSPIRE others to paint their units.
    Of course the MAIN goal is to SHARE THE FUN with everyone.

    Thanks,

    Such beautiful painted pieces Tall Paul. Makes me want to repaint my own set, hehe. I did a similar scheme but used decals as markers on the bases. You have done an incredible job with each country. The US marines just have me looking in awe. Well done sir!

    Off topic… My father also was in the Battle of the Bulge. He first landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day. He served with 135 artillery division under General Patton and said he had Patton and Eisenhower come up to him and ask him to take him to his commanding officer.

    Such beautiful painted pieces Tall Paul.
    ––Thanks, I’m glad you liked them.
    Makes me want to repaint my own set, hehe.
    ––Great, even if you don’t do the re-paint,…I’ve accomplished one of my objectives,…that being to help “Inspire” others.
    I did a similar scheme but used decals as markers on the bases.
    ––I’ll bet the decals look really good!
    You have done an incredible job with each country.
    ––All of the painting credit for the Infantry type bases must go to “Allworkandnoclay” who painted them. When I first saw his work on the Infantry bases I knew I wanted HIM to paint mine as I knew I couldn’t match his talent. He is a professional painter by the way.
    The US marines just have me looking in awe. Well done sir!
    ––Thanks again. I guess I probably like the Marine Raiders best, with their head-to-toe camo. You know,…I’ve thought about one day replacing my U.S. Marines with ones having the ‘standard’ U.S. ‘star’ ensignias. That would make all of the U.S. Infantry units more ‘standardised’ and I could/would use HBG’s markers to ID the ‘Special Forces’ units. The only problem with this plan is that I doubt that we will EVER have enough time to do so without delaying other units from being painted.
