Really?.. everyone I read is saying that The Habs are a better team than the one that finished last in the conference last year. We will definitely have the toughest team in the east after taking all the bad asses in last years free agent pool (Travis Moen, Branden Prust, Frances Boulion), and when you have a goalie like Price… you’ve got a chance.

I must confess, after the 2004-05 lockout ended, I was relieved and excited…so much so that I bought San Jose Sharks season tix that next season.

This lockout really burned a hole in my love for hockey.  I always laughed at the people that said “That’s it, I’m never coming back, yada, yada.” Now, I know how they feel.  I was hoping the season would be cancelled, they really look like a bunch of asses, I guess I’m getting old.

Like most fans, I’m sure I’ll watch when it’s on but the excitement I had in 94-95 and 04-05 is long gone…anyways go Red Wings, blah blah blah.

Quick, who won the cup last season???  I know, I forgot as well. Maybe time to change my user name.

I was at Game 3 at Joe Louis a couple years back when the Sharks went up 3-0… such a disappointing game. But there was a Sharks fan a couple rows behind us who was kind of passive aggressive. He was gloating profusely after Setoguchi scored in overtime and got beer thrown at him. Served him right.

Not that he seemed to care. He liked the persecution. My satisfaction is that his team is a bunch of aging, underachieving and utterly unappreciated failures, with no franchise history to speak of.

Couldn’t agree more Hoffman, Sharks fans are……hard to communicate with.  I love asking where they keep there Stanley Cup Champion banners everytime I wear my Wings jersey maybe in the basement, I’ve never seen any.

It’s also fun to remind them that Anaheim, Tampa Bay, Carolina(Hartford), Have cups and at least, Ottawa, Florida, have been to the finals…that always makes them mad as well.

Even the Queens have a cup, I have to remind my LA friends that it’s not the Stanley from “Threes’ Company” and talk them out of melting the cup down and turning it into a tanning bed.
