I’m getting ready for my move to Japan here in October, and I am definitely looking forward to it. Â I have been to Japan a couple of times in the past, but definitely excited about exploring the countryside. Â I’ve done Korea and Singapore out there, but I would have to say China is topping the list of country to visit due to its history and culture. Â I just wanted to see what other people have on top of their list and see if anybody has travel advice for China or any other places that would be mentioned in this thread. And if you want to check/share your world domination map (countries you visited) I’ve attached a good website.
Your such a northernist!
That’s equivelant to being worse than a racist.
My only advice for China, is to make sure you CLEARLY understand which province(s) you are going to, and the local culture(s).
And don’t ride the bus in India.
Argentina is on my A-list. After that Antartica, then the moon/mars.

Go see the Waimea Canyon in Kauai…why see something you’ve seen before when you can see this privately owned canyon.

Just remember to adhere to the sign at the top of the canyon… http://www.flickr.com/photos/tjbax/4129714425/

Is that the high point on the island where some cloud seems to hover over it and rain often, while the rest of the island is blue clear and 78-80 degrees?
If it is i got real close to it…could not find access so i gave up.
Kauai is my favorite island BTW… nice a quiet.

Kawaikini and Mt. Wae’lae’alei (-1sp) are the two peaks you are thinking of where it is usually the wettest spot on earth. They used to do human sacrifices up there….saw it via helocopter…I couldn’t hike that with my (at the time) 3yr old kid. Did Kauai twice, Maui thrice, Big Island once (slept at KMC, which used to be a Japanese internment camp during WWII), and lived in Oahu for four years.
I usually stay at the Marriott ( the one along coast south of airport about 4 miles). They used to have the best Luau but got rid of it for some reason. Very peaceful place to stay.
Looking forward to seeing Peking China, in ruins after the next great war.
