In the latest printing, that last sentence reads, “Transports may not attack in a sea battle without being accompanied by at least 1 unit with an attack value.”
Is the Italian NO stopped by transports in the med?
-
If the allies have JUST transports in the med, is the italian NO prevented?
-
No. Surely rules say ships have to have an attack value.
-
@wittman:
No. Surely rules say ships have to have an attack value.
the rules only state this
5 IPCs if there are no Allied surface warships in the Mediterranean Sea (sea zones 92 through 99). Theme: Propaganda and strategic advantage.
As far to my concern they can stop the NO… As they can easily be picked up by axis planes or ships.
-
Transports are not part of the group called warships. Sorry! So do not stop italy’s NO.
-
Transports are the only ship that do not stop the NO. Even a Sub and an empty Carrier do.
-
I don’t think a submarine classifies as a SURFACE warship.
-
Subs and transports don’t stop it.
-Subs can get in even if Italy owns Gibraltar/Suez.
-
Blame the booze. Of course a Sub does not count.
-
Subs can only enter the Med via Gib, not Suez.
-
subs make it too ez to stop the NO
-
transports do not count as warships
