I think the best time for Russia to buy fighters is if the RR is not being used and when they have giant stacks of infantry (mostly in the late game) then they buy artillery and fighters to start giving them fire power to go offense against the CP but this only happens in rare cases where Russia can go offense. Or you should buy fighters and artillery when the CPs go west instead of east (that’s the best thing to see :-D) because you are going to need them to really annoy the CPs!
Ottomans entry into the War.
-
How did the Ottomans end up getting involved in the war? I know they had a long rivalry with Russia but they also did with Austria. Did Russia declare war on the Ottomans or vice versa?
-
The Goeben & Breslau incident triggered the war.

Damn I thought it was the Note :-D
The Turks declared War on Russia by a Naval Bombardment of Russia Black Sea Ports.

No, no it was definitely the boat this time.
Except it was German ships flying the Ottoman flag, because the Turks did not possess the heavy industry needed to build anything more than a rowing boat.
I’ve already suggested that Germany starts with a cruiser in the Mediterranean, and I’d consider placing one in the Indian Ocean off GEA to boot.

It didn’t look like Germany had any ships in the med. which was disappointing. In Great War their navy might have been too big, but Germany’s navy could do lots of different things and add variety.

And the Konigsburg off German East Africa.
I like the idea of BBs and Cruisers being able to either shell coastal regions to reduce income, or put landing parties ashore in undefended areas to take control. These forces would have no combat value vs regular troops, but would be of nuisance value to players wanting to leave areas without a garrison.
