@joephillips There is no provision in the rules of the game for “annexing” territories. If you want to create house rules for this, it’s up to you what happens; however, when it comes to a hostile power, “annex” is just a diplomatic word for “attack”.
TripleA and Pac40
-
Anyone know if work is going on with regard to a TripleA playable Pac40?
-
I believe I read about it yes. Check out triplea.sourceforge.net for the latest triple A info.
-
The map is being designed, as we speak… :-)
But AAP40 demands a lot of coding within the TripleA engine, and we can’t expect a playable version anytime soon.
-
I thought TripleA was shut down. When did it reopen?
-
A few weeks ago, give or take a few.

shouldn’t be too hard I wouldn’t think, the ww2v3 map has many of the same issues like china placement etc, aside from adding tac bombers and buliding mech inf. NO’s are also in that version….

Declaration of war is the biggest issue
Facilities demand a bit of effort
Convoys too, but those are easy. -
well, considering I can’t connect to any non network games anyway using the new version, it doesn’t matter all that much yet.
-
version 1.1.2 of the pac40 map is out….
shit loads still wrong with it though… but it doesn’t crash any more :)maherC… I can connect to the 1.2.0.0 lobby and see people there… what is the problem you are having? make sure you have the latest tripleA version: https://sourceforge.net/projects/triplea/files
-
Isn’t is possible anymore to play Revised (or Anniversary Edition) at Triple A? I only see Triple A variants of Axis and Allies…Is this because of legal actions from Gametable Online, or do I have to install an older version of Triple A?
-
AA50 is WW2v3, AA42 is WW2v4, Revised is WW2 Revised.

I have 1.2.0.0, can get to the lobby, chat, see games etc. I can play networked games at home w/roomie just fine. Can’t connect or host online though, port 3300 error, have the port forwarded in the router….lost.

sh*t loads still wrong with it though… but it doesn’t crash any more :)I like it already though. Finally some hands on on the game, while I await my copy. Keep up the great work!

well, as of right now, it is Pacific 1940 with all units and map done correctly, just not many of the rules since they require changes to the engine
if anyone ever wanted to play Pacific 1940 with AA50 rules, here is your chance!
(naval and air bases do not work, escorts and interceptors do not work, etc.)go check it out: http://n2.nabble.com/Project-WW2-Pacific-1940-tp4225367p4225367.html

hmm. doesn’t seem to want to unzip. maybe i’ll have to wait for the dl in-game option.
-
I am sure TripleA will make a version of every A&A release.
-
let’s hope. pac40 isn’t worth the time to setup just to see the allied player go….hmmmm for an hour and quit.
-
version 1.1.1 was corrupted or something, go back and try downloading 1.1.2
we are making updates quite a bit, so check back oftenanything to do with the engine will not be updated so quickly though… so don’t expect many of the known issues that involve the engine to be fixed soon

I don’t see DDay and it’s been out quite awhile :)
-
It is very time consuming to code new rules and features in the TripleA engine, so I guess the developers will focus on the newest versions of A&A, from AA50 to AAP40 and AAE40.
