@surfer check again for India. I have 7 air units that can reach, one loaded transport, and naval bombardments. I saw a 99% chance of victory if I am not mistaken on legal moves.
-
I was offering an early calcutta as bait, figuring that I would be able crush the victor (burma force retakes India) separate the navy into pieces and perhaps cause a mistake that my 54 navy can exploit.
-
I do not think that would be a good japanese move. It’s premature. If the japs blitzed burma simultaneously, it could succeed as long as they get every unit. Otherwise retake is likely.
I would move the diver to burma.
Perhaps I don’t need to do all this. I just like to mess up the enemy’s script.
I ll work on revising.
-
@crockett36 if you think it is a bad move for Japan to take India, leave the units as you desire. I just wanted to point it out in case this was an accidental mistake.
I haven’t done a thorough analysis to see if it is a good or bad move for Japan as I would be leaving the money islands open for recapture.
-
a slight tweak, making retake more probable.
-
I can empty burma. I haaaaate being off the front line. but i can do it.
-
@crockett36 what about the planes in n africa? I want to project power as much as possible.
-
@crockett36 ready to finalize the turn?
-
@arthur-bomber-harris Not quite.
Surfer, looking for confirmation on burma where I did a half & half. The planes in Mor make London weak without real effect since UK has no transport to use next turn. And I’m worried that this move opens back up the sealion door.4.7.22uk2.tsvg
this is a go.
-
@crockett36 I have one transport and 2 planes that could do Sealion on G3. If for some strange reason I decided to build a big transport fleet next turn, you could easily defend London still on G4.
I don’t think that you have to worry much about losing London until much much later in this game when I have a big bomber fleet…
-
@crockett36 I liked the ftrs in Morocco. It provided a ready response to the med and Atlantic. Especially since Gibraltar was not taken yet. As @Arthur-Bomber-Harris said, London is not threatened at this time. And if he did spend on transports, he would have to pull back from Russia and the fighters in Morocco could just go back. All bad options for Germany.
Please move the US transport to SZ30.
I think India is safe. Burma is not, but it would be a stretch for Japan to take considering the other goals in the DEI and Malaya. A pure air assault is possible, but would probably lose 2-3 planes and near zero TUV battle…this is where the variance can really hurt, and hence probably would choose a different area to contest. In my book this is a real unknown. It potentially sacrifices 1/3 of our army, for the ability to link up with the Chinese. I’d be interested to hear other perspectives. Since we’re going aggressive with this move, I’d rather have bought 4 mechs + 1 inf, left only 5 in Burma (so I would have 11 defenders still in India) and the option to move in 9 units + 1 AA to Yunnan next round.
-
@surfer excellent. I will make those changes.
-
-
good to go.
-
Anzac’s turn.
-
-
oops wrong game
-
@crockett36 looks like you are doing relatively well in that game.
-
@crockett36 I thought we (includes @Arthur-Bomber-Harris) agreed that UK was not in danger of attack so that we could send the fighters to Morocco to prevent the attack…
However, the Luftwaffe could pounce and land in Algeria. If the Italians kamikazi in to weaken Moroccan defense, then the battle should be a net zero and even kill of planes (5 each side). If the Italians don’t attack, the Luftwaffe takes all those hits. Plus being in Algeria is not overly useful for Germany.
OTOH, keeping all of our fighters for later is probably not a bad problem to have. I just hate the sacrifices fleet + french we allowed ourselves to succumb to.
Also, don’t need 2 subs in SZ125. Pull UK SS back to SZ109 for defense.

@arthur-bomber-harris thanks for your help
