    Sorry, missed the post. I’ll say the 2 casualties are the destroyer and 1 fighter (not sure if these are the optimal casualties but I’m wary of you retreating and leaving the fighters to sink into the sea).

    Sorry, missed the post. I’ll say the 2 casualties are the destroyer and 1 fighter (not sure if these are the optimal casualties but I’m wary of you retreating and leaving the fighters to sink into the sea).

    That’s one way to do it. Only drawback is the sub, but I’ll proceed.

    Wasn’t sure what to do, damaged/destryoed carrier risked the fighters being destroyed on a retreat anyway, but no destroyer against a sub is risky too and you want the defensive firepower of the fighters. Got lucky with the result anyway and I’m sure the kindly Luftwaffe will let the carrier go back for repairs…
