@axis-dominion ok I think its over. I thought I would be able to take India with Germany if I went to Afghanistan this turn but I wont be able to do it. Too much allied air. Thought I could also do something in Europe if that wouldnt work but Russia is safe too.

I never really intended to actually go for it when I built the base in Pau. I just wanted to threaten it and go elsewhere but I didnt look at your ability to stack Yunnan carefully enough. Thought stacking Yunnan meant losing India (which if I wanted to I could have with no investment) but still might have been worth it. Not sure. But losing Yugo like I did was bad. And I also think my naval purchases were mostly wasted. I thought naval buy was enough to deter 92 stack but I needed more.

yes I agree, this game should be over at this point, and yes, I’ve yet to see a NSW-first ever work out well for the axis, at least not in any of my competitive games. taking India accomplishes several things for Japan: threatens the ME, keeps china in check, keeps close tabs on the DEI, and so on. taking NSW just creates a big burden of now having to maintain and defend it, while allies pressure hard up north and on mainland, as happened in this game. and yah I was onto your plan to swing down with the germans to take out India, I think that became too obvious, and so I planned accordingly.
but anyway, good game, was very fun and definitely interesting! your jap play is especially strong (despite the wrong order of conquest in this game)!

also, yes, yugo was BIG for the allies, that’s what really allowed them to throw a ton more weight into helping out the pac… without that, game would be much harder for the allies. the timing of that blunder really worked out for the allies.
