    German further advance into Russia has been painfully slow. With the help of the Italians, who took Smol, I attacked the length of the front so the Russian air couldn’t cover everywhere. But Russian troop level in Moscow has been very consistent, new builds replacing losses. Japan will do its part in Siberia, but the newly conscripted Chinese army in western China and the American bombers will preclude Japan racing into Russia on that front.

    So many choices for Japanese fleet that my head is spinning. Can’t hold my position against two U.S. fleets and bombers. I can protect the fleet if I go north, but can’t guard every territory from amphib invasion. U.S. has amassed too many subs. I can take isles, but will lose my tt’s. Will have to decide tomorrow.

    I was shocked to see U.S. had a stack of 9 subs plus more on the way. That’s the only warship category that I was noticeably behind on,. So I built 6 to keep me competitive, at the expense of the army. I wanted to retake Java, invitingly vacant, but I can’t risk too many tt’s. 58 income is cramping my style. Go pick on the Euro Axis.
