Awesome
The Saharan Dessert
-
Why is the Saharan dessert impassable? GenManstein, MonsieurMurdoch, and I (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) are making an Axis and Allies game for the Cold War. Do people think it should be impassable for that?
-
Large formations could not be sustained or cross. Rommel had enough problems just providing logistics for his forces even with established roads and climate near the ocean. Their is NOTHING there.
-
@Imperious-Leader Yeah but dont countries exist their nowadays?
-
very small villages. The area has gotten better, but a modern army has no business staging in the Sahara.
-
What about things like Operation Juniper Shield? And what about planes, should they really have to fly around it? maybe I could make territories in it that only planes can go over?
-
Planes can fly over of course. We were talking about land
-
It doesn’t have to be always impassable it is just design choice.
-
I know it doesn’t have to be. I just assumed that it was because it was so inhospitable.
-
Realism should always be second priority, opening Sahara is looks like very realistic aspect comparing to having Japanese tanks marching to Russia via Central China to help Germany.

Hmm… Yes I suppose I agree…
