If I hadn’t taken shan state with britain you might have been able to take india next round which would have been a pretty big blow! GG I do think the pendulum swung towards the Allies pretty harshly in that battle. Thanks for playing me! Now that christmas break is about to be over I have to start concentrating on searching for a job again so I will not likely be playing again with anyone very soon. Once I have a regular job, I will be likely back for a rematch!
    P.S. I really liked what you did in the pacific with that airbase, pretty good move in my opinon

    The resignation was absolutely premature. 123 was a setback for Germans , but not at all decisive.
    Axis hat +40 before and Allies also lost ships and planes there.

    Japan had a great position after 2 turns. Axis was ok overall.

    Italy was fine too, will collect the med NO for a while, can take greece this turn, sink a UK TT with the sub, Germans have another sub left.
    Italians can kill 2 units in Tanga, can take Cyprus the turn after this turn.
    Ita can get a strong foothold in Algeria, preventing the US North africa NO for quite some time.
    Germans hat a great G1 on the ground, didn’t lose any fast mover, also arty left, just one dead at Yugo.

    Boy, no need at all to throw the towel as axis at this point.

  • @JDOW The Americans will kill whatever subs remain in the atlantic at the end of the turn, but yeah Italy has two turns to move infantry into North Africa which is great for them. Japan is pretty close to taking India, The unfortunate part is that Germany’s airforce is extremely depleted reducing the risk of Luftwaffe attacks on allied transports unloading into Western Europe. They only have 2 fighters and two bombers vs a US battleship, allied fighter support and likely another two allied aircraft carriers. Russia is in a pretty strong position defensively with two turns of infantry builds. They could’ve maybe built more artillery to support counter-attacks but Overall I think the Axis will have a hard time getting the necessary amount of victory cities or taking moscow. Britain will be able to land troops much sooner than most games given the reduced chance of Germany’s airforce. I


  • It’s basically a race for Japan to take Australia before the Americans can take Italy or Germany. India is kind of a foregone conclusion from my perspective, but the british can keep reinforcing from the middleeast, while unfortunately having to deal with Italian pressure in North Africa, but the good thing is they don’t necessarily need to win in that theater. Just play defense and let the Americans drop forces.

    ok, just realized the Germans lost 5 planes in 97.
    That was a real dice disaster, given the fact that the Italians have attacked first.
    I still do not understand how 97 went as the fighters took not place in the battle history. But allowing UK to not tip the carrier certainly means very poor attacking dice.
    123 went extremely well for the Allies, too. But I would have never exposed my fleet there. Iceland has no strategic value for the Axis.

    I didn’t see how crippled Germany was. Having the shattered that early, the resignation makes sense
