    The decision to attack the Japanese inf. in Yunnan with 2 fighters, a tac, and a tank was cautious, but given what was at stake (the survival of the Chinese army and any supporting aircraft), well advised. Attacking the Japanese transport, would have meant rolling only 3 dice, albeit two 3s and 4 (theoretically 1-2/3 hits). Even so, with so few dice, no hits is a real possibility, and that does not even count the 1/3 chance of the Japanese inf. hitting.

    Clearly I missed something important in Belarus, and the miscalculation was costly.

    Although MARTI really helped me. The attack was only slightly favourable on paper. Still, troops who might otherwise be cut off being able to attack is a really good thing.

    If it isn’t too late to move the Soviet troops, use the second file.
