@hopper1999 I’ve access to both resin and PLA printers, and while resin has a couple of extra steps compared to PLA, I wouldn’t consider it painful. I’ve come to appreciate resin’s ability to show detail even in very small scale. For me its worth the extra steps to clean and cure, for those results. What’s great is there are so many free units available, with some simple editing/converting you can quickly build cool armies.
As for casting, while I haven’t casted any A&A parts yet (still building my unit library), I have casted a lot of 3.75 action figure parts. I’ve gotten best results using a syringe and pressure pot. (I converted a old paint pressure tank). You inject your mold, and then put it under pressure, I’d do around 30psi, to help the resin into the thinner parts of the mold and prevent bubbles. It also helps, when making your mold to put it under pressure as well. I’ve found it helps prevents bubbles in the silicone and between the silicone and the part being cast.
I plan on using casting to duplicate units I already have, that I can’t find stl files for.

Ok. So here is the table taking shape.
I have a print out of YG’s map (Thanks for all the awesome work, YG!) for the center piece. It will rest on black felt glued to the table and have plexiglass on top. I decided to go that route so that I could change out the map for other games at will. Although I doubt that will happen all that often, at least it would be an option. Along both ends of the table will be felted dice rolling areas and some storage for dice, chips, and other stuff I haven’t figured out yet. Along the top and bottom will be storage for each country. I think I will have enough space for each playable country to have about 15x4 inches of storage. Not sure if I will use plastic containers or try and stretch my limited woodworking skills to compartmentalize them with a matching wood.
Thoughts, suggestions, and feedback welcome!
Here is the progress so far:

Looks very nice – looking forward to seeing the finished table. The dice-rolling / storage areas at the two ends are a good feature to have; my table similarly has flat “wing” areas on each side for use as all-purpose working areas.

If I was starting over, I would do a few things differently, but overall I am pleased with the result…

It looks wonderful! I’m up for adoption. :-D

Thanks. I’m going to struggle keeping it put away.

Best bang for your buck is a copy of Risk 2008 for the cities to use as Major ICs, and some minor ICs purchased at historicalboardgaming.com or maybe ebay.
Nice table!

What!!! Dont do it!!!
No offence to HGB, but those roundels are way too expensive.
You can buy global for twice that price and get the sculpts as well.
You only need chinese and union jack roundels to track income.
You could get spare roundels for major powers from 41.
You could probably find a few french italian and or anzac roundels on ebay for a better price.Umm, my 2 cents

People aren’t buying those roundels because they need more, but because they want better quality ones.

I wanted to replace the roundels with something more substantial. The cardboard ones certainly work, but I think the acrylic markers and the hardboard roundels are higher quality. I wasn’t sure how many of each country to buy in lots of ten. So the G40 prepackaged set was helpful to me.

Ya, people are buying them for the quality, not the quantity… there is a SUBSTANTIAL quality difference in what HBG offers… they are of better material, and much easier to pick up. I’m planning on upgrading my tokens to the HBG ones after I recover from the holiday spending frenzy on my family.

So on the HGB item description, oob doesnt really mean oob?
When i read oob, i think original thinner card board.
