Nice.
Yankee or Dixie Quiz
-
43% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.
-
Yankee…… Having been born in New York, its good to know these things…
-
lol at the coke question. It’s hard to explain to people that you use the word coke instead of soda…
it’s also been quite a few years since I played with roly polies…
-
38% Yank, a definitive yankee. that’s right!

It was weird wasn’t it? I could have said every answer - it’s really just arbitrary. although in Texas, it seemed like everything was a pop, and my Ohio relatives made fun of that - they usually said soda. In KY, just about anything is a Coke, even Pepsi.
And I said roly polies & pillbug interchangeable - it may have depended on who was listening.
-
Do yall love to eat grits with your eggs for breakfast? Or do you’s guys prefer cream of wheat?
-
And btw yankees, when eating grits apply salt & not sugar dumbasses!
-
Forget the salt…
Just put some butter on them, and then eat them with eggs. And FYI: I ate grits MORE when I was a Yankee than I do now
-
Yankees eat grits now? My how times have changed! A little salt makes a big difference. Try it!!
-
The salt is in the butter :-)
And to be totally accurate, I am not a Yankee in what most Southerners think of as a Yankee. I am from the PA Mountains… Part Pennsylvania Dutch, part Appalachian redneck.
And there is a key question missing form that Southerner test…
If you do not know what a “Nab” is, then you are NOT a Southerner… -
What pray tell is a Nab?? I guess I’m not a southener after all! :?
-
A pack of crackers or cookies, usually of the nature of a pack of Lance crackers or something similar.
-
Sounds yankee to me!!
-
Nope.
Carolinian
-
62% (Dixie). A definitive Southern score!
bit funny to me.
I was born in VA but left before I learned to talk. Florida and CA for my elementary years. VA and CA for high school.
When I wander down south I find myself using the local lingo in about 72 hours. Otherwise I tend more toward a midwest dialect.
