    When he describes the game as being different from A&A I wonder if there be mechanics for events and leaders.

    A WW 2 game that isn’t A&A sounds like it is going to be a more radical departure than simply changing the mechanics or the location of Moscow. This is just me speculating and I’m probably way off course but perhaps it’s more of a political or espionage game. You probably could make a good espionage game centred around WW 2. You would think that a political game would still have to be somewhat scripted or it would really be too much of an alternate history.
    It could be that his new game has an earlier start date like the Global War 36-45 and includes the political intrigue in the lead up to war.
    If it was up to me I’d have a true Global A&A game instead of a Europe and Pacific game pieced together. You could make Siberia and China/Russia impassable due to mountains. Rework the strict neutrals to make them more realistic. Put in R&D rules that don’t seem like they were made up after the fact in 5 minutes. Add a new unit or 2. Throw in some espionage or some weather effects. Basically rework the Global 40 game to make it better now that he’s had the benefit of years of play testing and thoughts of how to improve the game. Who knows, maybe that what he’s doing but he sold out the rights to the A&A franchise and has to call it something different.
