Im confused, especially about the air defense section. And a question: the rule book says AAAs do not defend a factory from being bombed, does that mean they do not get to fire if the AAA is in a territory with an industrial complex that is being bombed?

A factory has a built-in AAA-gun that defends against bombers.
The (factory-independent) AAA-unit defends against air-attacks on a territory (that means units in a territory).

Please ask, if anything remains unclear.
