• My group is planning a tournament for 2014. We want 8 players (we need only one more player) and want to play two games simultaniously. And then four games (in two days) and that every player has one go with each set of countries.

We don’t want a simple win or lose point, but want a pointsystem for different types of achievements. Both parties score points for:
Not having a political collapse with your countries
    Conquered enemy capitals
    Being on the winning side
Winning in a certain round (eg 1 point for round ten, 2 points for round 9, etc)
    Doubling your start IPC?
    Having all original territory?
    Etc

    Any ideas and suggestions?

  • You should impose a 15 turn maximum for each game, to prevent players from farming points to much.

There should be national objectives which nets players points. However, anyone can get them, which makes for a king of the hill style game.

    E.G:
+1 point to whichever player controls Berlin at the end of the game (If its contested, nobody gets it)
+0.1 points for every IPC you collected during the final phase of the game
+1 point whenever you conquer an enemy capital (one time only, for each player)
-1 point when you suffer from economical/political collapse (one time only, for each player)
    Etc.
