    Heavy Artillery anyone?

    Should it be more powerful, fire further (from a territory away), fire before combat (the land equivalent of a naval bombardment)?

  • Cost: 6 IPC

    Attack: 4 or less (Boosted to 5 or less with Air Supremacy)

    Defend: 4 or less (Boosted to 5 or less with Air Supremacy)

    Bonus: Promotes 1 Infantry or 1 Tank unit to the “With Artillery Support” Box

    Special Battle Role: Heavy Artillery fire in a special round of combat after Air Supremacy has been established and before the rest of the land units roll. Attacking Heavy Artillery fire first, followed by defending Heavy Artillery. Casualties are removed according to OOB rules (except casualties of Heavy Artillery fire do not participate in the subsequent combat, they are removed immediately). Play then proceeds as normal with Heavy Artillery being subject to loss, but not firing again.

    Attack 2, defense 1, move 1

    Special rules:
    Bombardment. Artillery not in a contested territory may fire into an adjacent contested territory during combat. Roll 3 dice for each heavy artillery unit you are firing. Each heavy artillery may only fire into one combat per turn.
    If firing into a territory where you have air superiority, your roll to hit is ‘3’.
