@Colonel-Mustard Yeah,7 out of 8 times you would’ve been able to retreat as planned. Some famous military guy once said"No plan survives contact with the enemy"If USA and UK were going hard after normandy and denmark, that should give Italy a chance to grow strong and help stop the western allies.
#1 rule Always protect your capitol.
How is it possible…

I’ve seen a great deal of posts where people have discussed the merits (or folly) of letting Italy take France after a German hit and run (or two). I’m just wondering how Italy can do this? As far as I can tell, Northern Italy borders Southern France, and France proper is two spaces away. So how could one even go about doing this, nevermind it being smart or not?
Maybe I’m just blind or something, but either way I’d appreciate an explanation. ;D

There is a small border between North Italy and Paris

By gum there is! Wonder why?
And why is the “Western Germany” title crushed up in the south-west; was there originally a “Northern Germany”?

How illogical as it may be there really is a connection, yes. I do understand the gameplay balance issue, but getting from Milan to Paris without passing through other lands is a bit strange.
Historically it should only have been bordering Southern France…
